Wavelength is a beautiful two bedroom holiday home, situated below The Beacon just outside St Agnes, in a World Heritage Site and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The house has countryside and ocean views across St Ives Bay to Godrey Lighthouse, that can be enjoyed from both the open plan living space and the large deck.
Wavelength is an architect designed contemporary eco-home with cedar cladding over stone walling and a sedum roof, all of which complement the character of this exceptional part of Cornwall. The latest technologies have been used to generate an extremely comfortable, stylish living space.
The property has been finished to a very high standard with modern furniture and quality soft furnishings. There is a very well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, washer-drier, fridge-freezer, induction hob, oven and microwave. A central island with two bar stools, is perfect for enjoying a Cornish G&T!
Bi-fold doors open onto wooden decking to maximise views of the exquisite scenery. The deck, with dining table and chairs and BBQ, is perfect for summer breakfasts, lazy lunches and evening barbeques as the sun sets over the sea. After dark the deck becomes a perfect spot to stargaze. This fabulous holiday house also benefits from a nominated parking space and lovely communal gardens.
The open plan living space has a wall mounted TV, DVD player, integrated sound system (which can be used via Airport Express) unlimited Wi-Fi, and a selection of books and games. There is also a wood-burner to complement the underfloor heating on long winter evenings.
Wavelength has two bedrooms with ample storage. The master, with en-suite shower room, has a king sized bed. The other bedroom has two 3ft single beds and use of the luxury family bathroom, with bath and shower over.
An iron, ironing board, high chair, travel cot and hairdryers are all provided. Sorry, but dogs and smoking are not allowed at the property.
The National Trust beach at Chapel Porth is only a 15 minute walk from Wavelength, down a winding road. Recognised as one of the most exquisite beaches in Cornwall, Chapel Porth is popular with surfers, walkers and holiday makers all drawn to its colourful cliffs, golden sands, rock pools and crashing waves. St Agnes Beacon, one of the highest points on the North Cornwall Heritage Coast, is a short walk away with spectacular 3600 views. The South West Coast Path and the iconic Wheal Coates engine house are also approximately half a mile away.
St Agnes is a bustling town throughout the year, with a wide range of shops including greengrocers, butchers, a fishmonger and bakery. It also has many good places to eat and drink including several excellent pubs often playing live music. There are surf shops, craft boutiques as well as several art galleries displaying local art and jewelry.
Further afield, the Cathedral City of Truro is only 9 miles away and Newquay Airport 14 miles along the coast. You can also discover world class attractions such as the Tate St Ives and the Eden Project – both within an hours drive of Wavelength.
Cornwall is home to a wide range of award-winning artisan food and drink producers. The local and seasonal produce combined with Cornwall’s great chefs has created a food lovers paradise.
