Wet Suits, surf boards and tuition are available next to the beach, which also has a lifeguard on duty throughout the season.
Although small and quiet, Porthtowan has many amenities including a small supermarket and post office, tea rooms and The Blue bar a family friendly and lively bar with good food and live music at the weekends.
