Rock is a popular and renowned destination that occupies an envious location near the mouth of the Camel Estuary opposite the pretty fishing village of Padstow - home to Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant and bistro. On hand are an array of activities from sailing, windsurfing, watersking and the property is only 100 metres from the local beach and 150 metres from the sailing club and slipway. There are some of the best beaches nearby including the surfing haven of Polzeath and the lovely sandy bathing beach at Daymer Bay suitable for all ages.
The area also boasts excellent golf courses at Roserrow Golf and Country club which also has leisure facilities as well as its superb 18 hole course. Nearer to Rock is the famous golf links of St Enodoc Golf Club which has a beautiful vista over the estuary.
Padstow is only a ferry ride away and perhaps the best regarded fishing village on the North Coast and is still a working port. The pretty cobbled streets and fisherman’s cottages provide a classic Cornish backdrop to the busy stone harbour, home to the local fishing and day boats many of which can be hired or chartered during the summer months for fishing or scenic trips.
